NCCS Joins Colleagues in Submitting Comments to HHS Regarding Proposed Rule on Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters for 2016
In late December 2014, NCCS joined colleagues in the Cancer Leadership Council in submitting comments to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) regarding the proposed rule on notice of benefit and payment parameters for 2016. Many cancer survivors have purchased qualified health plans (QHPs) through the health insurance exchanges and their access to quality care depends on the adequacy of those health plans. In the CLC comments, we commend HHS for taking important steps to protect consumers in the health insurance exchanges and offer advice on a number of these proposals and on the move toward more transparency in reporting QHP data.
