Make a Gift from Your Donor-Advised Fund

A grant from your donor-advised fund (DAF), empowers Cancer Nation’s mission to advocate for quality cancer care for all people touched by cancer.

DAFs can be easily set up through your financial institution or through a community foundation to serve as a flexible charitable giving vehicle. For more information on how to establish a DAF, contact your community foundation or financial advisor.

What is a Donor-Advised Fund?
A donor-advised fund (DAF) is an investment account with the sole purpose of supporting charitable organizations you care about. When you contribute cash, securities, or other assets to your DAF, you’ll enjoy an immediate tax deduction — and easily support Cancer Nation and other charities that matter to you, on your schedule.

You can make one-time gifts or set up recurring monthly donations. You can give to one charity or multiple, all from a single DAF.

DAFs are the fastest-growing charitable giving vehicle in the United States because they are one of the easiest and most tax-advantageous ways to give.

What are the Benefits of Using a Donor-Advised Fund?

  • Easily contribute a wide range of assets to a single, philanthropic fund.
  • Centralize your giving and record-keeping in one location.
  • Make an impact in the world—and enjoy an immediate tax deduction.
  • Sustain the charities most important to you by establishing recurring DAF gifts.
  • Invest your donation for tax-free growth.
  • Support your legacy planning—many DAF sponsors allow you to pass the remaining funds in your account at your death to your favorite charities.

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a charitable giving vehicle administered by a qualified public charity.

Think of it like a philanthropic savings account. After you establish a DAF, you can make contributions to the fund as often as you wish and receive an immediate charitable deduction. When you are ready, you can then recommend a grant to NCCS.

Speak to your financial advisor for information on setting up your donor advised fund.

Vehicle Donation

Drive Change. Donate Your Vehicle.

Woman holding keys in front of a carYour old car can do more than take up space in the driveway. It can help fuel the work to improve life for people living with and beyond cancer. When you donate your car, truck, motorcycle, boat, or RV, you help power the movement for better care and stronger support for survivors across the country.

We’ve partnered with Charitable Adult Rides and Services (CARS) to make donating simple. Whether your vehicle is running or not, the process is quick and hassle-free.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Complete the online vehicle donation form or call (855) 500-RIDE (7433).
  2. CARS will schedule a free, convenient vehicle pickup.
  3. After the vehicle is sold, 80% of the net proceeds will support the work of Cancer Nation.
  4. You’ll receive a tax receipt for your donation.

It’s one small step that can help drive real impact.

Ready to get started? Donate your vehicle today.

ACH/Wire Instructions

Did you know you can give directly from your bank account, and it lowers our processing fee?

For ACH or wire instructions, please contact Cancer Nation Senior Director of Finance and Operations Woulita Seyoum at wseyoum@canceradvocacy.org.

Matching Gifts

Double Your Impact

Many employers offer matching gift programs that match donations made by their employees, and sometimes even by spouses or retirees. It’s an easy way to amplify your impact for survivors.

Check with your human resources or corporate giving department to see if your company will match your gift to Cancer Nation (legal name: National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship, EIN 85-0357897).

Your generosity matters. Your match makes it go even further — helping 18 million survivors move closer to a cure for care.

Honor or Remember Someone You Love

Make a gift to Cancer Nation in honor or memory of someone important to you.

An honorary gift is a meaningful way to express your love and create lasting impact for the 18 million people living with, through, and beyond cancer. You can give in honor of a birthday, anniversary, graduation, or in lieu of flowers.

You can make your secure donation online or complete the mail-in donation form and include it with your check. Every gift helps build a future where every survivor has the care they need to live well.

Leave a Legacy of Care

Create a lasting legacy that helps cancer survivors live well today and in the future.

By including Cancer Nation in your will, trust, or estate plans, you ensure that survivors and their families continue to receive the care, protections, and advocacy they deserve. Your legacy gift strengthens our mission to make quality cancer care possible for every person touched by cancer.

Our team can provide more information or help you prepare questions for your financial advisor to determine the best giving option for you. If you are interested, please complete the request form below, and a Cancer Nation representative will contact you.
