NCCS Announces New Elevate Ambassadors Selected to Improve Survivorship In Their Communities
The National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NCCS) is proud to announce the participants of the 2025 Elevating Survivorship program. After a competitive application process, NCCS selected 11 individuals from across the United States to serve as Elevate Ambassadors.
The Elevate Ambassadors will receive mentorship, support, networking opportunities, and training to develop and execute a plan-of-action for their project to serve their local or virtual community. Some advocates and survivorship professionals will focus specifically on addressing health inequities highlighted in NCCS’s State of Cancer Survivorship Survey.
“Elevating Survivorship is a key program for NCCS to work with advocate and health care leaders to drive change at the grassroots level. We are thrilled to work with this cohort of passionate and talented Elevate Ambassadors on their diverse and exciting projects to improve survivorship care and reduce health care disparities in their communities,” said NCCS CEO Shelley Fuld Nasso.
“The Elevating Survivorship program is an opportunity for a diverse group of advocates and survivorship professionals to collaborate and learn from each other to implement survivorship projects across the nation,” said NCCS Director of Advocacy and Programs Veronika Panagiotou, PhD. “Each ambassador is passionate and relentless in their pursuit to serve the cancer community. We are looking forward to supporting them and watching them grow in their advocacy!”
