NCCS Announces New Elevate Ambassadors Selected to Improve Survivorship In Their Communities
2023 – 2024 Elevating Survivorship program. After a competitive application process, NCCS selected 10 individuals from across the United States to serve as Elevate Ambassadors.
The National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NCCS) is proud to announce the participants of theThe Elevate Ambassadors will receive mentorship, support, networking opportunities, and training to develop and execute a plan-of-action for their project to serve their local or virtual community. Some advocates and survivorship professionals will focus specifically on addressing health inequities highlighted in NCCS’s State of Cancer Survivorship Survey.
“We believe collaboration at the local level is key to fulfilling NCCS’s mission of ensuring that all cancer survivors receive quality care. It is an honor to welcome these incredible Elevate Ambassadors to the NCCS family as we work together to improve survivorship,” said NCCS CEO Shelley Fuld Nasso.
“The Elevating Survivorship program is an opportunity for advocates and survivorship professionals to collaborate and learn from each other to implement survivorship projects in their community,” said NCCS Advocacy and Program Manager Veronika Panagiotou, PhD. “Each ambassador is passionate and determined to make change. We look forward to supporting them and watching them grow in their advocacy!”
