Cancer Nation State of Survivorship Survey

Cancer Nation (formerly National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship or NCCS) conducts an annual State of Survivorship Survey, in partnership with Edge Research, to explore the cancer patient and survivor journey. This study captures a range of perspectives to better understand how Cancer Nation can support its mission to advocate for quality cancer care for all. In 2025, we fielded our seventh annual survey.

The 2025 Survivorship Survey Results Are Here!

The 2025 Cancer Nation Survivorship Survey captures the voices and realities of over 2,000 cancer survivors across the United States. Cancer Nation worked with Edge Research to conduct our seventh annual nationwide survey of cancer survivors, exploring their experiences living with, through, and beyond cancer. Cancer Nation uses this survey to turn lived experience into action by demanding the policies and care survivors need to truly thrive.

New areas we explored in this year’s survey include:

  • Management of chronic conditions along with cancer treatment.
  • Confidence moving into post-treatment care.
  • Deeper dive on Survivorship Care plans.
  • Understanding the emotional toll of cancer care on mental health.
  • Knowledge of Medicare prescription drug out-of-pocket caps and Medicare Prescription Payment Plan.
  • Comfort with the implementation of AI in cancer care.
