Nancy, a 26-year oral cancer survivor, and survivorship advocate, sees the value in making monthly contributions. She has been giving a monthly gift to support advocates who are working in their communities to provide survivorship resources.
Her appreciation for our Founders’ vision 36 years ago to improve the care of cancer survivors grew after reading a book written by a fellow cancer survivor that chronicles the history of the cancer survivorship movement.
“I had no idea how indebted I am — like most of us are — to the survivorship culture that NCCS built one milestone at a time, for so many years, through so many different struggles.”
That is why Nancy chooses to make a monthly gift.
“For NCCS, a monthly commitment, no matter how big, provides a solid financial platform from which new programs can flourish. I am not a large donor, but I like to think that NCCS can count on me to always be there, just as I count on NCCS to always be there for me.”
