Coined by NCCS, a Cancerversary is a milestone that is defined by you. It might be the day that a loved one was diagnosed. It might be your last day of treatment. It might even be several important dates that occur throughout someone’s cancer journey. Whether it’s a date that you celebrate, or a time simply to reflect, Cancerversary is about survivorship—living with, through, and beyond cancer.

Millions of Americans share a common experience—the survivorship experience—of living with, through, and beyond a cancer diagnosis. This experience can be a transforming, positive force to affect change.

The NCCS Cancer Policy and Advocacy Team (CPAT) provides cancer survivors and caregivers with the tools and training to apply their experiences to advocate effectively. Through events hosted by NCCS, CPAT members gain an in-depth understanding of public policies impacting cancer patients and can be a voice for policies that ensure survivors’ needs are at the center of every phase of cancer care delivery. Through their work, CPAT members support NCCS’ policy priorities.

NCCS welcomes anyone who is interested in making a difference for cancer survivors to join CPAT.
